Welcome! I am a doctoral candidate in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the Mississippi State University (MSU). I am a member of the Social, Therapeutic, and Robotic Systems (STaRS) Lab under the supervision of Dr. Cindy Bethel. Additionally, I also serve as the in-house software developer for Mississippi Alcohol Safety Education Program (MASEP) at the Social Science Research Centre (SSRC) at MSU. My research interests are in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UX & Design Research, and Requirements Engineering.
As a researcher, I am passionate about applying qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to uncover user challenges that may emerge during human-technology interactions. And ideate design solutions to address such problems and improve users’ experiences. My current research is focused on human factors in recommender systems in requirements engineering (RE). It applies machine learning and recommender technologies to support stakeholders in completing requirements engineering activities and then evaluates user experience and users’ attitudes to the acceptance of such recommender technology in RE. The continuing shift in the RE domain toward large-scale, distributed, and collaborative environments offers diverse opportunities for supporting several human-intensive tasks through the application of recommendation technologies. Prior to grad school, I had a great time working as an IT Business Analyst at Guaranty Trust Bank PLC, Nigeria (GTBank). At GTBank, I led a cross-functional team in identifying and analyzing business needs, with particular emphasis on understanding the root causes of specific business problems and then proposing solutions to address such problems. My team and I worked on various projects, including the Individual and Corporate Internet Banking platforms, Card Management Systems, and several other internal applications.
